I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Louisiana also certified in Telehealth. I am a native of Acadiana and graduated from the Episcopal School of Acadiana. I then went on to obtain a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Millsaps College and later a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Prior to working in Private Practice I worked with children, teens and families struggling with behavioral concerns and the parent/child relationship. I’ve also worked in the health care setting providing education on stress management to older adults with chronic health conditions as well as smoking cessation counseling. These previous settings have helped to grow and inform the care I provide in your session.

A personalized approach

I create a safe and non-judgmental space for you to lean into your toughest moments to glean insight, overcome challenges and encourage resiliency and hope for the future. I believe that each client inherently possesses the skills and inner strength to achieve their potential. Together, we can break through the behavioral and emotional barriers that stand in your way towards a full and authentic life.

On a personal note, I am a wife and mother of a toddler and newborn. When I am not working or home with family, you can find me enjoying live music, dining out with friends or getting competitive on the pickle ball court.

My Therapeutic Techniques

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT is an approach that works well for a variety of mental and emotional concerns that focuses on how your thoughts affect your feelings and behaviors. In CBT, I find and dispute the negative or dysfunctional thoughts that lead you towards unfulfilling or maladaptive behaviors. In CBT, mindset matters. Assessing and addressing your thinking can free you from significant emotional pain.

I am trained in DBT and infuse this approach into my treatment. DBT is evidence based and highly researched for people with Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, mixed anxiety and depression, or anyone who feels their emotions strongly. DBT teaches clients to become mindful of their emotions and experiences, encourages acceptance of the present and problem solving in the future. DBT emphasizes mindfulness, emotional regulation and interpersonal skills.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Gottman Method

I am Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Level 1 trained and I use this approach when working on relationship growth. The Gottman Method utilizes research-based methods to improve the couple's friendship, increase positive affect, implement conflict management and create shared meaning. The Gottman Method is an evidence-based practice used for couples who are ready to work on their connection and communication. This method can be used for marriage counseling, couples counseling, LGBTQ+ couples, or anyone who identifies as being in a monogamous relationship.
